A once-in-a-lifetime find for advanced collectors: this authentic 1963 Blonde Test Market Skipper is among the rarest early Skipper variations, representing Mattel’s pre-release prototype period. Her head features no inner rim markings, soft hand-painted face screening, and two full rows of rooted bangs—details unique to early test-market production.
She has the true first-edition straight-leg body with vertical “JAPAN” foot stamp, tight limbs, and clean vinyl tone. Comes complete with her original red-and-white striped swimsuit (elastic still firm) and red JAPAN flats, glossy and bright.
