Vintage Japanese stoneware bowl with hand-painted bamboo motif and textured glaze. This piece was brought back from Japan by a U.S. serviceman during the mid-20th century and has remained in family possession.

The bowl features a rounded form, dark glazed foot ring, and brushwork typical of Japanese studio and export pottery from the post-WWII era. Unmarked, as many souvenir and workshop pieces of this time were.

A beautiful decorative bowl or display piece for collectors of Japanese ceramics, mid-century decor, or wabi-sabi aesthetics.
