Gracie Naranjo (1938-2002) was the daughter in law of famed potter, Christina Naranjo and was a distinguished Santa Clara Pueblo potter of Navajo descent, known for creating hand-crafted blackware pottery with etched designs, including intricate avanyu (water serpent) and geometric motifs. Her pottery, created from the coiling of clay, is considered a fine example of traditional Tewa Indian art and is highly sought by collectors.
