Very rare military history book containing the, “true story of 54th troop carrier wing, the third tactical arm of the U.S. Army Air Forces in the Southwest Pacific. Richly illustrated, with photographs and large full color fold-out map. Boards slightly bowed and with corners bumped/softened. Some soiling and rubbing to boards, especially around the edges. Loose binding with a few instances of splits in binding, though all pages remain attached. Mild soiling to outer edges of text block with some sparse and small stains to pages themselves.
