• The light is activated (full power security lighting) when motion is detected, so there's no need to waste electricity by leaving the lights on all night. Features like DualBrite technology ensure that only a minimal amount of necessary light (accent lighting at half wattage) is being used when motion is not being sensed, and a patented photo-control system ensures nighttime only operation. For times when constant light is needed, there is a manual override mode allowing them to function as switch-controlled lights for constant on, dusk-to-dawn lighting.

DualBrite

• DualBrite is a patented Heath® Zenith technology that provides energy saving two-level lighting operating at half power until motion is detected and full power lighting when motion is detected. DualBrite provides soft accent lighting beginning at dusk. When motion is detected, the light automatically switches to full bright security lighting for a pre-selected amount of time (1, 5 or 10 minutes). The light will then automatically return to accent mode (50% power). Accent lighting will begin at dusk and can be pre-selected to stay on for 3 hours, 6 hours or until dawn.

• Energy Star is a joint program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy. The goal of the program is to help save money and protect the environment through energy efficient products and practices.
