This exquisite 10-inch bowl is a superb example of Dresden porcelain. The bowl is marked with the RK/Crown mark, which identifies it as having been decorated by the celebrated studio of Karl Richard Klemm. The original porcelain blank green Moritz Zdekauer (MZ Austria) mark is present but has been intentionally cancelled (covered by a gold medallion stamp) indicating that the bowl 'blank' was made by Moritz Zdekauer c.1884 to 1918 and later decorated by Richard Klemm c.1869 to 1916.

The central scene features a beautiful, romantic figural scene of two elegantly dressed ladies, applied via a transfer print then richly hand-painted and embellished with enamels. The rim and panels are covered in wide bands of heavy, hand-applied gold gilding, a hallmark of premium Dresden decoration.

Measures 10 inches (approx. 25.4 cm) in diameter. In excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks. The gold gilding is bright with only minor, expected wear consistent with its 100+ year age.
