If there was ever a PhD pitching philosopher on a staff it was Sutton. Calm and cool, a big game pitcher indeed. Few know he broke in 1965 w Dodgers Santa Barbara and Albuquerque Dukes where they couldn't keep him down in the minors. At age 20, he went 23-7, so the very next year, he broke w the club in Sandy Koufax last year w the Dodgers, going 12-12 as a rookie and a 2.99 ERA; His lifetime was 3.26. He only won 20 games one time, which makes his 324 wins even more impressive, like his 3,500+ strikeouts. 58 career shutouts. This card was sleeved right out of a pack sweet condition. Background of the card looks like Shea.
